If you’re thinking about purchasing a home this year… You’re in luck! Across the country, aside from two key cities, home prices are down more than two percent. While that may seem like a minimal amount, it’s not – especially when you think about all of the costs associated with purchasing your next house. We’re talking realtors, inspections, closing costs and more – it adds up! According to The Guardian: “The December quarter drop was greatest in Sydney – where home prices fell by 3.7% – and Melbourne – which recorded a 2.4% fall – while values increased 0.1% in Adelaide and 0.7% in Hobart.” Check out this article for more information.

If you need to be reminded about the value of a home renovation… We get it. Home renovations, especially after any natural disasters are tough to comprehend. They’re tough to plan for and more often than not, something that you want to put off. You think that they’re going to cost a lot of money, take up a lot of your time, and overall cause a lot of stress. That’s why we love showcasing properties that have been returned to their former glory and the teammates that have made it happen. According to ABC, “Paganin House, the family’s home in Perth’s western suburbs, is far from your average three by two — it is an eccentric 1960s post-modernist building designed by revered Bulgarian architect Iwan Iwanoff and named after the family who built it in 1965.” Check out this article for more information.

(Speaking of aforementioned natural disasters), If you are seeking resources for your home and your family in the case of any situations… It’s tough, but all of the information is out there. Cyclone Trevor is still tormenting communities like Tennant Creek. The Bureau of Meteorology in the area has already warned of destructive weather and heavy rain. Situations like this are impossible to avoid, but paramount to prepare for. While our focus is on reinforcing the foundation of your home, we also want to give all of the best advice for you to prepare above ground. Have a disaster kit ready to go at any point in time. Here are some ideas. Check out this article for more information.
