The Planning Nuts and Bolts of Reinforcing Your Foundation

The Planning Nuts and Bolts of Reinforcing Your Foundation

January 15, 2019

Yes, we know, there are some puns in the title, and they’re totally intentional. Even though the work that we do here is serious, we do like to inject a little bit of fun every now and again. It’s part of what makes it so special to work on the VIC Underpinners team. We’re passionate about what we do, and we know we have what it takes to get the job right. For those that are newer to our community – we welcome you! – lets dive in to what it is that we bring to the table. We’re the best in the business when it comes to reinforcing your foundation and we do so in several ways. Our primary services are restumping, reblocking and underpinning and they each use different materials and processes, so that you can feel safe, comfortable and happy in your home.

Today, we’re taking a tactical look at things. A lot of our prospective, current and past customers originally balked at the idea of taking on the work for several reasons. The biggest of all was that they didn’t understand it. We totally get it, but we want to change that. And the best way to do so? Right here on the blog. We knew that this would be a great hub for all of the information that you need, and then some. We’re not just talking about the services that we offer, but how they play into the bigger pictures of industries like construction, home renovation, landscaping and more.

On to the nuts and bolts: how does one kick off the process of reinforcing their foundation?

First things first… don’t be scared! When you work with teams like the VIC Underpinners one, we have your best interests at heart. We’ll never take advantage of you, and we’ll be along every step of the way to answer your questions and provide whatever information you need. We want you to feel like you’re in the driver’s seat.

The next step is having the initial conversation around what your foundation looks like, and what the issues are at hand. You’d be surprised, there’s not a one-fits-all solution, and that’s a good thing! Your home should be as unique as you, and the services through which you’re supported should be tailored as such. At least, that’s how we feel, and we treat each customer as if they’re a valued member of our family… which you are!

We like to come out to your property and survey it in person, in order to provide the least expensive and most constructive solution. At this point, we can explain exactly what types of wood, cement and accessories we use. We like to show these to you in person, again, so you know exactly what you’re getting from the team.

We have plenty more on this topic, including the best ways to communicate with us and our favourite types of materials that are evolving this year. Stay tuned!
